The Funeral Mass for Maria Strmecki, 87, who died Monday, August 28th, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisc., will be this Labor Day Monday, September 4th, in our church at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Maria was the widow of Joseph Strmecki, who died in 1993. Their children are Fr. Ivan, Marin (Lisa) and Margarita. Their grandchildren are Grace, Vivienne and Henry.

A Memorial Mass for Maria will be celebrated by Monsignor Kevin Holmes, rector of the Cathedral Parish, in St. Patrick's Church (404 E. Main St., Madison) this Friday, September 1st, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation in the narthex starting at 9:30 a.m.

Fr. Ivan wishes to express profound gratitude on behalf of his Mother, his family and himself for the many prayers and kindnesses that helped make the past 20 months and these days of mourning bearable and touched with great joy. May God, through the intercession of Maria's patron saint, the Blessed Mother, reward you abundantly!
